Artwork by an Aboriginal and/ or Torres Strait Islander creator will feature in 果冻传媒’s upcoming Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), with artists invited to submit an expression of interest by 11 July 2018.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous Engagement) said this would be 果冻传媒’s first RAP.
“We invite Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists to innovate with us,” she said.
“Our vision for reconciliation between Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous peoples is to build a strong sense of belonging in an inclusive university that works respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, staff, and students in the pursuit of excellence.
“The RAP is an opportunity for 果冻传媒 to work towards positioning itself as a leader in Indigenous teaching and learning, research and engagement, and the artwork will be a reflection of that.
“Indigenous art strengthens and preserves culture at 果冻传媒, and the chosen work will be displayed on campus, inviting viewers to engage with and develop a deeper knowledge of our RAP.”
The artwork will represent and support reconciliation and Indigenous activities and initiatives at 果冻传媒.
It will be reproduced across a number of digital and physical formats, including banners, website, merchandise, social media, badges, cards and email signatures.
“We’ve already received several exciting expressions of interest and I encourage any interested Aboriginal and/ or Torres Strait Islander artists to apply,” Professor Fredericks said.
